As a spiritual community, we seek to follow the teachings of Jesus, who calls us to love one another, to reach out to those who are in need, and to grow deeper in our journey with God. At Westchester UMC, seekers, pilgrims, saints and sinners explore faith and doubt, justice and Jesus, peace and praise, as we journey together in the familiar and mysterious.

Two Ways to Worship - In Person & On Line

Check out our "Upcoming Events" for more information on happenings and events here at Westchester UMC!

Sunday Mornings:

8:00 a.m. - Zoom Breakfast Church
Breakfast Church is informal - we explore scripture through questions and conversation. You are invited to grab a cup of coffee, your lapto
p, computer or smartphone and log in through a Zoom invitation at 8:00 a.m. Please email Pastor Lyda for a Zoom invitation. Zoom Breakfast Church will not meet in October - we look forward to seeing you in November!

10:00 a.m. - In Person Worship

In October, we are excited to share our "line up" of guest speakers while Pastor Lyda is taking some time off!  October 5th - Marta Lear will be leading worship, and the Lear Family Band will provide the music.  October 12th - Kimberly Emerson will be leading worship.  October 19th - Retired Pastor Lisa Williams will be leading worship.  On October 26th, Pastor Lyda will be back in worship with a new worship series - The Lord's Prayer: More Than Words.  Each week we will pause with one part of the prayer, listening for how it speaks to our lives and to the world around us.  Come, pray with us.  Come, live this prayer with us.  Together, let's discover how the Prayer of Jesus can transform not just our words on Sunday, but our way of being every day.

Happenings:

Rhythm & Food - Adults - it's Free!
Rhythm & Food - Adults - feeds body, mind & spirit through a shared meal and recreational music-making, using an evidence-based whole person strategy called HealthRhythms. HealthRhythms promotes community and ensures a healthy non-strenuous workout. Adults are invited to find that center in your soul where your heart is strengthened by joy, celebration, rhythm, and food. Rhythm & Food - Adults takes place every second Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. After our drum circle, we will enjoy a delicious lunch together.  Drums are provided - no experience required - and it’s FREE! Put your hand on your heart - feel the beat - we all have a drum within us!  To RSVP, please CLICK HERE to email Pastor Lyda.
