Westchester United Methodist Church
A Place Where Love Works
you can connect with us
two ways -
online and in person!
wumcla.org

As a spiritual community, we seek to follow the teachings of Jesus, who calls us to love one another, to reach out to those who are in need, and to grow deeper in our journey with God. At Westchester UMC, seekers, pilgrims, saints and sinners explore faith and doubt, justice and Jesus, peace and praise, as we journey together in the familiar and mysterious.
Two Ways to Worship - In Person & On Line
Masks are required at all In Person worship services & gatherings.

10:00 a.m. - In Person Worship
Our worship series, SAD: Spiritual Affective Disorder begins. Seasonal Affective Disorder happens when a lack of sunlight affects our moods and our abilities to cope effectively. Spiritual Affective Disorder can also be a condition when we've had prolonged stress and life is disturbingly uncertain. What if everyday life activities could become spiritual practices - deepening our experience of a meaningful life and helping us shine a light on the "blahs?" May we discover acts of kindness, acts of observation and gratitude, and simple things like taking a walk, or even getting out of bed in the morning can all lead to a deeper awareness of the divine, and a closer connection with God, while also having a positive impact on mental wellness.
