As a spiritual community, we seek to follow the teachings of Jesus, who calls us to love one another, to reach out to those who are in need, and to grow deeper in our journey with God. At Westchester UMC, seekers, pilgrims, saints and sinners explore faith and doubt, justice and Jesus, peace and praise, as we journey together in the familiar and mysterious.

Sunday Mornings

8:00 a.m. - Zoom Breakfast Church
Breakfast Church is informal, and there is room for everyone at our virtual table. We will explore scripture through questions and conversation. You are invited to grab your favorite breakfast goodies, a cup of coffee, grab your laptop, computer or smartphone and log in through a Zoom invitation at 8:00 a.m.  Email Pastor Lyda for the Zoom invitation.

10:00 a.m. - In Person Worship

Our Advent worship series, "Angels Among Us: #DoNotFear begins November 30th and continues through the Sunday after Christmas!  When we listen to the story of Jesus' birth, we meet many people who had cause to feel afraid due to the circumstances they faced and cultural context of the time.  But angels came to visit them, and the message they brought was "Do not be afraid."  In our 21st century world, sometimes we need to hear exactly the same message.  This Advent, we encourage one another to "fly in the face of fear," claiming hope, peace, joy, and love for each other and for the world.

Enjoy worship on your schedule!  Each Sunday afternoon, our worship service is added to our YouTube channel.

 The Gathering-January 4,2023
On the First Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m., it's The Gathering.  Through sacred moments of silence, scripture and music, we have the opportunity to re-set, re-charge and re-focus our awareness of the Divine Presence of God, always where we are at every moment. Quiet your mind, open your spirit and focus your heart on the 1st Wednesday of each month in the calming presence of God and Spirit.
Masks are required.

The Gathering will not meet in December - we look forward to seeing you January 4, 2023!  Instead of The Gathering, you are invited to Blue Christmas at 6:30 p.m. on December 21, 2022.  For many, Christmas is not ‘The Most Wonderful Time of the Year’ (as the song goes). A Blue Christmas Service can offer some healing and hope.  We create space for the acknowledgment of the heaviness often carried during this season, as well as offering hope.
